I started professional photography in Toronto, Canada in 1987, when film photography was the main extreme. Later I moved to Waterloo and started shooting weddings in Waterloo, Kitchener, Guelph, southern Ontario, and Destination weddings. With the digital age, photography added a new era for creating images. I like to adapt to your personality so the photographs that I take will always reflect you. Photography has to be fun and I like to embrace the moment by capturing an image that will reflect the emotion of that specific point in time. Meeting you is very important so I can get to know your personality and answer any questions you may have. It is always good to have more than one meeting before a photo shoot, in order that small details and ideas are clearly laid out. Becoming comfortable and confident about my photography skills is also another reason for multiple meetings. Lighting is one of the key elements to capture a unique photograph; from the old days when natural light was widely used in skylight studios, to today's portable lighting equipment; having an eye for how the final shot will look like is one of the most important element to control the lighting and create that unique photograph. With over 25 years of professional photography experience, the quality and care that I provide will make your most important moments an exquisite image to cherish forever. Some times I require extra staff and we care for every detail to make your photograph and your time with us unique. I provide color and black & white photographs, custom printing, retouching, hand tinting, restoration and digital editing. My expertise lies in Weddings, Portraits, Modeling Portfolios, Musicians and concerts, Sports, Wild Life, Sceneries and Commercial photography. Most of my photography is taken with high-end Nikon equipment. Vintage style photography can also be obtained with digital equipment or while film still available. To close match vintage looks, I use my Tachihara Large format wood camera with 4x5 negatives, my Hasselblad Medium format with 2 ¼ x 2 ¼ negatives and several 35 mm format cameras that even include my Pentax K-1000 SE, my Miranda RE and several other 35 mm range finder cameras. I concentrate my photography in Kitchener and Waterloo area; but I am also available for shooting across Canada and international location weddings and special events.
